Service Description

Pre-requisite: - Genuine interest in dog grooming. - 2 hour meet & greet session with Tasha. This taster course is designed to give a true insight into the skills & knowledge required to become a professional dog stylist. During this course you will observe the day to day tasks involved in working in a dog grooming salon, including: - An introduction to the art of observing how different dog’s communicate with their stylist, to ensure the stylist can meet their grooming needs as closely as possible, whilst providing them with a calm environment and a positive experience. - Education into suitable shampoos to ensure the dog's skin and coat needs are met. - Live observation of a stylist at work. - Dedicated Q&A session with the stylist. - Introduction to correct handling techniques (to ensure the dog’s welfare needs are met and how to keep yourself safe). Key Points: - This course will run for 4 days but must be completed in 2 weeks or less. - Maximum of 2 students per course, 10am-2pm daily. - This course must be completed before applying for our other more advanced courses. *This course must be paid in full at the stage of booking as detailed in our T&Cs.
