We invite all new puppies to enrol on this course as soon as they are clear from their vaccinations and are safe to mix with other dogs*. We actively encourage puppy owners not to delay a puppy being inducted to a salon environment, as 6+ months puppies will find it harder to adjust to the grooming experience. This course is completed over 10 sessions and ideally completed within 2-5 weeks.  Please check with your Vet*

 

Your first session is a complimentary .  This is a short introduction for you and your puppy to meet the Golden Paws team.  There are numerous smells for your puppy to sniff and occasionally this can cause your dog to be cautious, but please don't worry this is why we do this first and the session is designed to comfortably settle your puppy in. We have a full appreciation that every dog is different so during this visit we will be assessing your dogs behaviour and asking you some questions.  We will then tailor a course to suit the needs of your puppy, their coat and character.

 

The aim of the course is to gently introduce your dog to 

Independency - Being left alone (ie- not having the owner around)

Socialisation - Socialising with other dogs of all ages, breeds and sizes

Confidence - Positive training to salon equipment to include tables, brushing, combing, clippers, nail clippers, bath, dryers and handling.

 

Throughout the package (10 sessions) your dog will experience being bathed & dried, nail clipped and face-tidy.  Some dogs may require further sessions and these will be offered at a discounted rate.
